Des Ruines

Ecology, storytelling, itinerant lab, collective experimentations

Des Ruines is the name of a structure, but also of an evolving artistic project that gathers my transversal impulses: ecological storytelling, experimental photography, handcrafted publishing, transmission workshops, and poetic inquiries into fragile or forgotten places.

This project grows from a desire: to connect my practices — photography, writing, making, transmitting — into one coherent, committed, ecopoetic gesture. It is less a formal collective than a living ecosystem, inventing slow, situated modes of creation, attentive to the living and to the stories that move through us.

An association bearing the same name is currently being created, to provide a sustainable and collective framework for these artistic actions, explorations and researches.
It will support projects, host other artists, and give life to a sensitive lab in dialogue with territories.

Des Ruines carries several intentions:

  • To explore artistic forms rooted in the land and natural rhythms
  • To create fragile, sensitive, handmade editions, connected to the places encountered
  • To build a mobile lab for photographic and ecological research
  • To support collective workshops, attentive vigils, shared explorations

Each project or action emerging from Des Ruines attempts to resist extractivist, performance-driven, or productivity-based logics. Here, we take the time to observe, to understand, to gather, to transform.

This is not a business. It is a fertile ruin. A place for germination — of other stories, other gestures, other connections.
